Hargrove carries Pro Mazda rivalry to GT3 Cup Canada

Vancouver, BC, – Scott Hargrove is pleased to announce that he has been signed by the OpenRoad Auto Group to drive the OpenRoad Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racecar in the Porsche GT3 Cup Canada races as part of the season opening Victoria Day Speedfest Weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports  Park on May 17th and 18th. 
 
Scott is the reigning USF2000 champion and vaulted into 2nd place behind points leader Spencer Pigot in the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires with a pair of 2nd place finishes at the recent Indycar Grand Prix of Alabama making it three podium finishes in the first four races of the season. Scott and Spencer will carry their Pro Mazda championship rivalry straight from this weekend’s Indianapolis Grand Prix to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park next weekend as they will both be driving in the GT3 Cup double header season opener.  
 
Scott commented “I am extremely grateful to Christian Chia and the entire OpenRoad Racing organization for giving me this opportunity, and I am very excited to go racing door handle to door handle with all the great competitors in the Porsche GT3 Cup Canada series including my closest rival from Pro Mazda!”
