Brownsburg, Ind. – As the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires season draws closer to the end, Juncos Racing is prepared for the final oval this weekend with Round 12 at The Milwaukee Mile located in Milwaukee, Wis. The team continues to lead the team championship and driver Spencer Pigot leads the driver’s championship with only three races left in the 2014 season.

Ready to show a strong finish on the final oval of the 2014 season Juncos Racing Team Owner Ricardo Juncos has kept his team focused on one race at a time as they continue their battle for the championship. Juncos is proud of all of the accomplishments the team and drivers have achieved both on and off track this season.

“We’ve been working very hard for Milwaukee,” said Juncos. “Like I said before, we are going race by race. With only three races left in the championship there’s no room for mistakes. We are going into Milwaukee confident because we love to race the ovals and we are always strong there. After Spencer (Pigot) finished the pervious oval race at Lucas Oil Raceway in third with a flat right tire, we’ll take this race as a rematch. I’m very confident in all of my drivers. Kyle did an excellent job there last year. Our two rookies José (Gutiérrez) and Julia (Ballario) will have a little bit more of a challenge, but I have plenty of confidence in them that they will perform strong. The whole team is really looking forward to getting on track at The Milwaukee Mile.”

About Juncos Racing: Ricardo Juncos, a former Formula Renault driver and son of a driver, grew up with a deep passion and desire for racing. At the age of 14, Juncos made his first steps in the racing community driving karts in Argentina. Through his success in karts Juncos was able to join the Formula Renault class competing throughout South America. After funding became difficult as many drivers experience over their career, Juncos began working for many race teams in order to continue his own racing career. During this time Juncos was able to learn all aspects of the car in and out, along with schooling in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Stationed in Buenos Aires, Argentina and headed by Ricardo Juncos, “Juncos Racing” became a full-service Formula Racing team in 1997. By 2003, the team relocated to Miami, Florida as a full-service karting team.  During the first few years in the U.S., the team picked up 19 local, regional, and national karting titles. Moving right along, Juncos Racing not only moved operations north to Indiana, but it developed into a formula open-wheel racing team in 2008. The team went into full swing, dedicating most of the time preparing drivers and crew members for the next level in racing. Following this transitional year, Juncos Racing participated in its first open-wheel series—the 2009 Star Mazda Championship. 2010 proved to be a big year for the team in the Star Mazda Championship capturing the driver championship and finishing second in the team championship. By 2012, the team’s operations expanded to include cars in the Firestone Indy Lights series and even fastest lap of the Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Juncos Racing currently operates out of Brownsburg, Indiana.
